#RainOfRust: MozUP goes the RUSTY way!

Rust India community has come up with RainOfRust Campaign to spread the awesomeness of Rust language. This event is focused on introducing and teaching the state of art system programming language Rust to Students/ Developers and Mozillians around.

Main Aims:

RainofRust campaign aims at the following aspects:

Creating more awareness about Rust language across the students and developer communities
Inspire local Rust mobilizers to start regional user groups
Curating workshop kit to produce tangible outputs as deliverables of the event
Increase adoption of Rust
Use the existing communication channels to support Rust community members

Who were part of this campaign?

Students -> Learn Rust
Developers -> Adopt Rust
Tech Speakers -> Speak about Rust
Curriculum Designers -> Design Rust teaching kits
Localizers -> Localize Rust teaching kits
Leaders -> Form and lead regional Rust communities

Mozilla Uttar Pradesh in association with a home-brewed startup SWAG labs started the campaign across UP to empower and educated developers for RUST language.

In the series of the campaign Mozilla UP Organised 2 events

1. RainOfRust Lucknow

2. Open Source Meetup and Rain of Rust Kanpur

It was the first time in Mozilla Uttar Pradesh that each and every micro to macro level contributions were documented and recorded at our community Github Repository.

Mozilla UP in association with swag labs also launched Rust learning series for its members and developers to learn the new programming language.

It was also seen that the developers did some great hacking using rust-lang and did some awesome job with it creating a new set of programs and apps. See it here .
